How to get Gumasta (Shop Act License) only in Rs 24


How to get Gumasta (Shop Act) Online

Gumasta (Shop Act License) application can be filled online. There is very easy way to get the gumasta (shop act license) online by yourself. This process requires to be completed online. No need to send any form or documents to anywhere.

Step- I – Go to Aaple Sarkar / Mahaonline Website

·        Click on above Link to go to the correct website.
·        Existing user - Login with your ID and Password
·        For New User - register yourself and create login ID and Password.
·        Select Industries, Energy and Labor Department from the list of Departments
·        Select the Sub Department as Labor Department
·        For the number of services select Shop and Establishment Registration
·        Click Proceed A new tab will open and here you have to select type of registration (as below)
·        Select Individual
·        Submit
·        From left side menu select Shop and Establishment Application-
o   First time User – select Application Form
o   Old User – select Shop Register This is to continue license Registration  OR modify the existing License


* Here we will discuss how to get shop act online
Once you select the application form option there are two types of licenses
1.     For 0 to 9 Workers - Shop & Establishment Intimation
2.     For 10 and above workers - Shop & Establishment Registration
·        Select the option Shop & Establishment Intimation for small establishments.
·        Click Confirm

Step- II – Data Entry (Form F)

·        Division                                  

·        District                             

·        Office Name – Select from the list where you shop is located (Tehsil)

·        Name of Establishment- Type the name of your shop

·        Previous details of Establishment – Select NEW Registration

·        Address of Establishment – Write the correct address (* are compulsory fields)

o   For ownership – select appropriate option Rental OR Self Own

·        Select date of commencement of shop

·        Nature of Business – Write what type of business you have opened. For example Cloth shop, cutlery, bakery etc.

·        Public OR Private – Select Private

·        Manpower and Workers Details – Fill how many men women or other workers working. Don’t keep any cell blank. Type zero if nothing applicable.

·        Name of Employer – Type name of Owner

·        Residential address of Employer –Aadhar Number is compulsory

·        Name and Address of Manager – If you have manager then only you fill these details otherwise leave blank.

·        Select Category of Establishment – Shop

·       Select type of Establishment – Select the business you have started from the list

·       Type of Organization – Self Ownership

·       Name of members employed in establishment- If anyone from your family is working then write the details

·       You will get the application ID as below

·       Click OK and you will see the report


Step- III – Upload Documents

·        Upload Photo and Signature-

o   Size - Between 5KB to 20KB.

o   File format - jpg/jpeg, png

o   See details in picture below

·        Upload Documents

o   File format - jpg/jpeg, png

o   Size - jpg/jpeg, png should be minimum 75kb and maximum 100kb and Size of pdf should be less than 512kb

·        Applicants ID Proof – Aadhar Card

·        Self-Declaration – for the format click here

·        Compulsory Documents – Photo of shop with owner so that interior and outside sign board is visible clearly.

·        Click Upload Documents- After you click upload documents it take you to next page. If it exits from here then you can login again and you will find your transaction history as shown in below picture.

Step- IV – Payment of Fees

·        Click on View in Payment Receipt –  
o  It will open new window here you can select Pay Now (as below)
o   You can download the form also here
o   Once you click on pay now it will take you to a next page wher you have to select one option
§  Online Payment OR
§  Bank Challan
o   You will be surprised to see the charges of this service it only Rs. 23.6 (Presently).
·        Click Confirm
o   If you have selected online payment option then it will give options of online payment.
o   Select the appropriate option and pay the fees.
·        If you don’t have online payment option available, select second option Bank Challan
·        Click proceed you will get a Challan and you have to download it and take a print out and go to your bank to pay the fees.

 ·        Once payment is done the process is completed.
·        It will take7-15 days’ time to get the license and you can download it from the same page where we clicked on pay.
·        From the last column there the download button will be enabled once the verification of your documents is done by the authorities.
·        If there is any query in the documentation it will show you the rejection status, then you can solve those queries by uploading the correct documents.
